Loaded Gun Found In Toy Aisle At Target, Gun Lovers Pathetically Blame Anti-Gun Mom Group

8IZNhRrf_400x400A real gun was found in the toy aisle of a Myrtle Beach Target on Friday night. It was loaded with bullets and sitting in plain view. This news comes the same week as reports of open-carry activists strapping their guns as they walked around shopping for baby clothes in a Texas Target surfaced. The incident prompted a petition to circulate, asking Target to ban weapons in its stores. The President of Open Carry Texas is blaming the loaded gun find on “a gun control extremist” of course.

”I wouldn’t doubt if a gun control extremist planted the gun there to further his agenda of blaming gun owners for deaths of children. Whoever did it is a despicable excuse for a human being and should be charged with attempted murder and fried in in a chair.”

Yup. Typical. Everything is a massive conspiracy against gun owners. These people are strapping automatic weapons to their backs while perusing the baby section at a Target, but it makes way more sense that a gun control advocate would own and leave behind a loaded weapon. Give me a break.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America spokesperson, Erika Soto Lamb responded to the president of Open Carry Texas’ ridiculous accusation:

”The insinuation that an organization devoted to the prevention of gun violence would plant a loaded gun in the toy aisle of Target is utterly ridiculous. Moms Demand Action is solely focused on the safety and security of our families and communities. Only one organization has a history of bringing loaded guns into Target ”” it’s not us.”

The gun was in plain view. It was on top of a superhero Playskool toy box when the employee found it; he thought it was a toy. He realized it was real after seeing it was loaded with live ammo. It’s a miracle that a child didn’t find this thing first.

The police report says there was a “suspicious male” walking up and down each toy aisle the night the gun was found. Every comment I’ve read on the story so far is from gun owners insisting it was a set-up from Moms Demand Action:

Sure. Moms who spend time trying to make the world a safer place for children would plant a loaded gun in a toy section at Target. That makes sense. Way more sense than someone who is for open carry bringing the weapon they so adamantly feel needs to be carried and displayed and accidentally leaving it there. Oh, I forgot! Gun owners never make mistakes! Only – yes they do. All the time. To the tune of hundreds of accidental deaths a year. The bottom line is – speculating about either scenario is pointless.

Blaming this on a group of Moms is just – pathetic.
