Kind Flight Attendant Blows Bubbles, Consoles Upset Mom and Baby

The first time my child started crying on a flight, I started sweating so profusely that I was afraid I’d pass out from dehydration. The situation was only made worse by the dirty looks from every passenger around me, as if I was somehow forcing my child to cry just to annoy them. I wish I’d had a kind person on my plane to assist me through that stressful moment, but luckily for traveling parents there’s a flight attendant out there giving a helping hand.

According to fellow traveler Carrie Jaboor, who posted the story on Facebook, a mom was flying alone with her two young daughters. At one point during the flight, the baby began crying inconsolably and wouldn’t stop. A Southwest flight attendant approached the family and asked the mom and her girls to accompany him to the back of the plane. When Jaboor looked back a few minutes later, she witnessed the man not only cheering up the baby, but the mom, too.

“I looked back and saw him blowing bubbles for the little girl until she stopped crying as he was also giving tissues to the mother and consoling her as she was crying, too,” Jaboor shared on the Facebook page Love What Matters,” There are some seriously kind people in this world.”

Incidents like this show just how easy it is to be nice to someone when they’re struggling. I wish more people were like this sweet flight attendant. Not only did his act of kindness make this family’s flight easier, but you can bet the mom will always remember it when she’s booking her air travel.
