Kate Winslet Cites Her Upbringing In Her Decision To Never Get Cosmetic Surgery

It’s an easy assumption to make that now nearly every actress who graces our screen has been cosmetically altered. With younger and younger performers going under the knife to appear more “perfect,” it makes one wonder when beauty became all about looking flawless. But 35-year-old actress and mother Kate Winslet has publicly vowed to never get work, forming the ”British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League” as she calls it with friends Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz.

The Telegraph reports:

”I will never give in,” vows Winslet. ”It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty.”

Kate also mentioned that being an actress means that she doesn’t wish to “freeze the expression of her face.”

Kate and her friends will certainly be in the minority in Hollywood, but for very good reason. The mother of two will no doubt be leading by example, conveying to her children what her parents so strongly did to her.
