While Kate Gosselin has been busy with the kids on their TV show Kate Plus 8, Jon Gosselin has taken a decidedly different professional route. Since he and Kate split, they’ve been battling each other in a very contentious divorce and custody case. Jon has also tried his hand at a few, uh, interesting careers. We imagine that child support for 8 kids ain’t cheap, so you have to do what you have to do, right?
Jon and Kate Gosselin divorced in 2009, and since then, he’s held a series of jobs.
He briefly worked in the kitchen of a T.G.I. Friday’s in 2016, before a co-worker snapped his photo and sold it to local media. He left that job, and soon after started working as a DJ with Senate DJs. He seems to really enjoy being a DJ, and does a fair amount of traveling around the country for gigs.
But at one point, Jon’s search for a career took him down a much different path. In April 2017, Jon performed as a male stripper in a show called “Untamed Male Revue”.
According the Page Six, the former reality star’s turn on the pole was more awkward than sexy. He didn’t go full Monty, and as it turns out, the whole thing ended up being something of a publicity stunt. Jon donated a portion of the money he received from that gig to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. He later posted a video explaining why he did it.

Now, it appears as though Jon is getting serious about settling down and proving himself to be a fit father capable of providing for his kids.
Jon got himself a regular, stable 9-5 as an IT administrator, in an attempt to rehab his life and get more time with the kids. According to Hollywood Life, he’s hoping that the changes he’s making will help him win the next time he and Kate Gosselin face off in court over the custody of their 8 kids.
We hope Jon is serious when he says he’s ready to make changes for the sake of his kids. They need a steady presence from both parents in their lives.
