Kate Gosselin Posted a Picture of Her Dog Kissing Her Kid on the Mouth and People Are Grossed Out

Kate Gosselin shared a picture on Instagram, so you know what that means: troll time! People who follow Kate are quick to jump all over every aspect of what she shares. From asking where Collin is on every single picture to accusing her of treating her dogs better than her kids, Kate is no stranger to comment section controversy. This time, people in the comments lost it when she posted a picture of her dog kissing Alexis on the mouth. Suddenly everyone is an animal health expert.

The picture Kate Gosselin posted that riled everyone up (this time) showed daughter Alexis getting some good, slobbery love from one of their dogs, Mak. Side note: that dog is gorgeous!

Now, I have two dogs myself. And they are exuberant with their kisses. Kisses all over, all of the time. Dogs don’t talk, so one of the ways they show affection is by licking and kissing. Is it gross? Sometimes. I’m not a huge fan of a wet dog tongue on my feet. But lordy, people are lacking in education (about a lot of stuff, let’s just add this to the very long list).

Some of the comments were laughable in their ignorance and fear mongering.

I’m … sorry? What crackpot website did they pull this gem from? “Cause of death: dog kiss.” Cripes.

Which doctors say this? Specifically, names would be great. I’m guessing the same “doctors” run the information website that open sore and death person frequents. Just to set the record straight, a vet chimed in. Thank god for facts!

It’s true! Cats and dogs have fewer germs in their mouths than humans. Science is so helpful. Luckily, plenty of people shared their love for the picture and their own furbabies, too.

Here’s the thing: if you have animals, they’re going to lick you. Face, feet, arms, wherever they can land a smooch. It’s not hazardous to your health, people. Alexis wasn’t licking a subway platform, for crying out loud.
