Jenna Lyons Finally Leaves The Trendy Mommyhood That Is Park Slope

Jenna LyonsAnyone who has ever scouted for an apartment or a house knows that location can say a lot. So when I caught wind of J.Crew’s Jenna Lyons blowing out of Brooklyn’s trendy mommyhood Park Slope where she once dwelled with ex-husband and baby Beckett, I gleaned that the creative director was definitely looking to make a statement.

The mother of one famously split with her husband of nine years, Vincent Mazeau, and promptly started dating jewlery designer Courtney Crangi. In a reportedly messy divorce settlement that included a custody battle, one shining and glorious gem remained unharmed: the couple’s gorgeous Park Slope townhouse. With a wine cellar, a garden, and enviable design, the 1880s property went on sale last November.

The three-level brownstone has now sold some months later to a couple named Vincent and Tracy Martin for $4 million. And the stylish mother is taking that big chunk of change with her all the way to another swank neighborhood, Tribeca. Although considerably less marked with stroller parking, babyccinos, and crunchy parenting stereotypes, the mother will definitely be living worlds away from her Park Slope roots.

She’s moved into the American Express Carriage House, which although might not be brimming with Birkenstocks and Ergo baby slings, is very much keeping with that high-priced penchant for posh parenting.
