According to research, 18-29 year-olds are having the most sex surprise, surprise. They average getting down and dirty about 112 times a year. The average person will have sex 86 times in a year in their 30’s, and 69 times a year in their 40’s.

And while that number might be a little depressing, at least know that the same study found that retirees do the deed at least once a month. Some elderly women are described as ”Duracell bunnies,” according to The Sun. Age doesn’t have to get in the way of your sex life.

As we get older, sex becomes less of a priority thanks, life. Many believe that a person’s sex drive diminishes as we get older. It turns out, that is not the case! According to a study from the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Reproduction, and Gender, there are a number of reasons why we don’t have as much sex as we age.

Some of the factors that get in the way of getting down include everything from work stress to family obligations. More pressing factors include physical challenges or self-esteem.

Feeling sexy can be harder as we age, as our bodies change in ways we don’t like. But, that doesn’t mean we don’t want to have sex.

The same study also shows that over the years, the people who were in better health had better sex lives. This means they didn’t have to worry about nearly as many physical complications, and they likely had a higher self-esteem.

”In addition, feeling positively toward older adults was linked to maintaining high levels of sexual satisfaction in the future,” reports the study.

So, no matter how much sex you are currently having, if you’re happy, then keep doing what you’re doing. If you are concerned about losing interest in sex, one thing is clear you got to stay healthy and stay interested in your partner.
