Holly Madison Seriously Just Named Her Daughter Rainbow, But Not Entirely For The Reason You Think

Holly Madison welcomed her baby girl earlier this week — the one that she was scrambling to get the Alice In Wonderland nursery painted for while also organizing a move and a wedding. Her daughter’s name has been revealed, but don’t chalk her up to your cocktail game of Crazy Celebrity Baby Names just yet.

People magazine writes that Holly Madison and her partner Pasquale Rotella have named their daughter Rainbow Aurora Rotella. OK, so the new mommy admits that she was going for unique (but not Yoonique!) points. But the name dates all the way back to Holly’s own childhood:

”I wanted to give my daughter a unique name,” the former Girls Next Door star tells E!. ”Growing up, there was a girl in my school named Rainbow and I was so envious of that name. I thought it was so pretty and unique!”

Now, right off the bat, I want to talk nicknames. Just because that’s kind of what we do here at Mommyish. Personally, I’m into Bow — which isn’t to say that Rain isn’t also a contender. But I’m not digging Rainy, Rainie, or any 80s style — just add a “y” here — type of variation.

RB, maybe? Scratch that, sounds like Arby’s.
