Gwyneth Paltrow Says The Most Difficult Part Of Marriage Is Being Half Of A Moody Artistic Twosome

Mother of two, Gwyneth Paltrow, has officially been married for nine years to Coldplay’s Chris Martin. But even though the two radiate awesomely hip parenting-ness what with their powerhouse careers and cook books, there is no need to put their union on a glittering pedestal. Gwyneth says that her marriage does indeed have its rough spots — and apparently they are the artsy ones.

In the January 2013 issue of InStyle, Gwyneth gets pegged on what the most difficult aspect of her partnership is. The GOOP founder responds:

Probably our artistic temperaments together. Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs, mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write.”

Come to think of it, as sexy as a musician and an actress may sound on the surface, that does sound like a lot of extra feelings knocking around the home. And that doesn’t even include the needs, wants, and demands, of kids Apple Martin and Moses Martin. I can’t imagine that having two kids under the age 10 zooming around the grounds makes for much “gravitas” or “focus” for songwriting either.

But regardless, it looks as though the Martin family has something figured out given that they are closing in on that double digit wedding anniversary. Two another nine years, Gwynnie and Chris!
