Of Course Ellen and Portia Figured Out The Cutest Way to Shut Down Everyone Who Keeps Asking When They’re Having Kids

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are a national treasure. They seem like the nicest couple, and they are married and famous, and thus they are constantly bombarded with annoying and unwanted questions about when they are going to have a kid. Most of us who have ever been asked that question want to just respond, “STFU!” But Ellen is classier than that, and she and Portia came up with easily the best and cutest way to respond to people asking, “When are you going to have a kid?”

Meet “Kid”:

According to PopSugar, Ellen and Portia have adopted a kid. Or rather, they adopted the cutest puppy I have ever seen and named him “Kid,” so that people will stop asking when they’re going to have a kid.

“I named him Kid because, you know, people . . . there have been rumors forever. ‘When are you and Portia gonna have a kid?’ So, now I can say we have a Kid. So it can just stop,” Ellen said.

Haha. From your mouth to God’s ears, Ellen. Good luck with that, but we all know how that question works. No one is ever, ever, ever going to stop asking when you’re going to have a kid. Ellen and Portia will be 98 years old and sitting in rocking chairs in Venice and random people will walk up and ask when they are going to have a kid. If they have a kid, people will ask when they’re having another one.

Kid is one super cute puppy, though. He looks like he’s been snuffling around in a sooty fireplace. 

Ellen and Portia are a great couple and would surely be really wonderful parents if they decided to have kids. If not, they will raise some very cute dogs and travel around the world and be exciting and fabulous. But if they are ever looking to adopt and don’t necessarily want a baby, I know at least one 30-something blogger who would happily put herself up for adoption if Ellen and Portia could be her new parents. (Call me, Ellen! I’m cute and I sleep through the night.)
