Baby Steals Phone and Runs Away While It’s Still Recording

There are few things in the world that toddlers like more than phones and iPads. (To be fair, phones and tablets are basically everybody’s favorite things at this point in time.) If there’s anything a small child likes more than playing with a phone, it’s grabbing something they’re not supposed to have and running away with it. This baby managed to combine both those things and stole its mother’s phone while it was till recording, and it’s such a pure depiction of joy that of course it had to go viral immediately.

It’s not clear from the video how the baby got the phone, but it’s definitely the best thing that has ever happened to that baby. Nobody’s ever been as happy as that baby is right now. The whole video is just a string of gleeful toddler belly laughs and the biggest smile that baby’s face can accommodate. It’s way cute. Even the mother running after her phone in the background is cracking up, because it’s just so cute. (And also she appears to have carpet, so her phone is safe even if it gets dropped.)

The video is only 11 seconds long, and it does look a little bit like a baby version of The Blair Witch Project, but it’s already been viewed more than 15,000 times in just a couple hours. There are few things the Internet likes as well as it likes toddler belly laughs. The only thing that would make this video better would be if there were cats or puppies involved.

Baby-height videos are always so great, whether they’re made by putting a GoPro on a toddler or when a toddler goes rogue with its mother’s phone. There’s nothing like a baby’s-eye view of the world to give a person a bit of perspective. Life must look so weird from just two feet off the ground! Everything is so high above your head when you’re a toddler. It’s no wonder they like being carried so much.
