5-Year-Old Accidently Kills His 2-Year-Old Sister With His Own Patented Kiddie Rifle

5-Year-Old Accidently Kills His 2-Year-Old Sister With His Own Patented Kiddie Rifle

A moment of mourning for a 2-year-old little girl who was fatally wounded by her 5-year-old brother. While children accidently shooting one another is a unfortunately a recurring story, this little boy wasn’t tinkering with his parents’ unattended firearm collection. Not in the least. This kid had a rifle of his very own, designed specifically for kids. Record scratch. More »

120 Rich NYC Parents Of The World School Held A Quinoa Crisis Assembly

120 Rich NYC Parents Of The World School Held A Quinoa Crisis Assembly

When Avenues: The World School in Chelsea was still being constructed, I remember rolling my eyes over parents vying for spots at the prestigious institution that didn’t even have desks yet. Later, Suri Cruise seemed to have no trouble cutting the line after her parents’ seemingly sudden divorce. But now that The World School has been up and running for a year, we see that aside from multilingual and international education, the institution also prioritizes 25-page PowerPoint presentations on school nutrition. Gwyneth Paltrow Says The Key To A Strong Marriage Is Neither Party Asking For A Divorce — At The Same Time

Gwyneth Paltrow Says The Key To A Strong Marriage Is Neither Party Asking For A Divorce -- At The Same Time

Despite her marital advice on squabble-diffusing blowjays, Gwyneth Paltrow says that her marriage to Chris Martin can be pretty tough. Like all relationships as the old adage goes. They may have been together through two kids and nearly 10 years, but it certainly hasn’t been a cake walk. According to Gwyneth, there have been “terrible times” in the Paltrow-Martin household. Reese Witherspoon Told The Cop That She Drunkenly Sassed That She Was Pregnant

Reese Witherspoon Told The Cop That She Drunkenly Sassed That She Was Pregnant

After hiding from the press for handful of days following her arrest/DUI accompaniment, Reese Witherspoon has consented to talking about drunkenly harassing a cop. The mother of three put on a brave smiley face — with a twinge of Tracy Flick if you ask me — and addressed what went on that night. At least what she could could remember of it. While Reese said that she should “know better,” she leaned heavy on the Protective Wife role, adding that she even told the cop she was pregnant.

Pregnant while smashed? I’m sure it made sense at the time. More »

Ireland’s Stab At Revamping Abortion Laws Means That Suicidal Women Could Be Forced To Carry Babies Against Their Will

Ireland's Stab At Revamping Abortion Laws Means That Suicidal Women Could Be Forced To Carry Babies Against Their Will

Given that a woman in Ireland was denied a life-saving abortion and consequently died, Ireland clearly needs to revisit their abortion restrictions. Abortion is already illegal in Ireland, reportedly already with a clause about exceptions for life of the mother that is clumsily worded. A new proposal to tighten up those life-saving loopholes is thankfully on the table. Yet, this proposed legislation creates another gaping loophole. A huge one, in which suicidal women who ask for abortions and are denied them could then be tossed into the loony bin to wait out the pregnancy that they tried to terminate. GOOD TIMES. More »

Teen Girl With A Penchant For Science Is Slapped With Felony Charges After Her Experiment Explodes

Teen Girl With A Penchant For Science Is Slapped With Felony Charges After Her Experiment Explodes

Given all the data that is out there regarding young girls and STEM fields, ladies who demonstrate an interest in science should be culturally supported. A quick peruse of certain popular culture guarantees that they certainly won’t be getting that support elsewhere. Yet when 16-year-old Kiera Wilmot, who reportedly “got good grades” and had “a perfect behavior record” had a science experiment go awry, she was slapped with felony charges. Way to support our young girls in the sciences. More »

I Guess It’s Safe To Assume That Gwyneth Paltrow Solves Marital Strife With Blowjays

I Guess It's Safe To Assume That Gwyneth Paltrow Solves Marital Strife With Blowjays

No, there’s no on the record lofty quote by our GOOP goddess espousing this harmonious marital tidbit — although I wouldn’t put it past her. Good followup to the whole cookbook thing? No, no, no, Chelsea Handler just relayed some marital advice she overheard Gwyneth Paltrow give someone at a dinner party she attended. Hey, Gwyneth didn’t exactly deny it. More »

Marissa Mayer Announces Baller Maternity Leave Policy For Yahoo Employees

Marissa Mayer Announces Baller Maternity Leave Policy For Yahoo Employees

Unless you’ve been under a rock with no Wifi, you know that Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has been hit with some scrutiny regarding her work from home policy – specifically from parents. But now, I don’t give two figs about all the work from home hoopla considering that Marissa has officially announced a baller maternity leave and paternity leave for Yahoo employees. Work from home what? More »
