7-Year-Old With Alopecia Wins ‘Crazy Hair Day’ With Spectacular Jeweled Head

Seven-year-old Gianessa Wride does not have any hair, but she still totally owned her entire school when “Crazy Hair Day” came around, because she put together an amazingly gorgeous crystal tattoo out of jewel stickers, and she won the top prize.

According to Fox 8, Gianessa only lost her hair a couple months ago. The first patch fell out in early January, and by the end of the month it was all gone entirely. Doctors told Gianessa that it was alopecia, which is an autoimmune disorder that makes a person’s hair fall out. Gianessa lost all her hair in the space of 20 days, and it won’t grow back. That’s a big thing to happen to a little girl, but even though this is all still very new, Gianessa seems to be handling it like a champion. And now she’s the school’s Crazy Hair Day champion, because when the event came around, she decided to participate just like everyone else.

“I didn’t want her to feel like an outcast or that she wasn’t like the other kids,” Gianessa’s mother, Daniella Wride, told CNN.

So rather than sit out the event, Gianessa used jewel stickers to create an elaborate head design with jeweled flowers and a giant owl. It’s actually completely gorgeous, too. This little girl seriously looks like she should be on the runway at Couture Week. This is amazing.

Daniella Wride posted the photos to her Instagram, and everyone loves it. Gianessa is not the only little girl to lose her hair, and it sounds like a lot of other little girls are getting a kick out of seeing that bald girls are beautiful and can play with awesome accessories too.
