Taco Stand Worker Hero Saves Boy From Kidnapper

google streewt iew tacoAn L.A-area taco stand employee is a hero after saving a 4-year-old boy from a nut bag kidnapper. Jesus Delgado, a grill cook at T2 Tacos, in Westchester, North Hollywood jumped out from behind the counter Wednesday and rescued Grady O’Brien from a man who took him after punching his nanny in the face.

Witnesses told the news station that the man was ranting about being in the CIA before punching the nanny and running away with child yelling he was the father – Grady’s 6-year-old brother Brendan screamed for the police until Delgado sprang into action.

Delgado bolted across multiple lanes of traffic on a busy highway to chase the would-be kidnapper down, witnesses said.
Delgado told the news station that he heard the young boy screaming for help and just reacted. Witnesses claimed they also heard the nanny screaming for help after she was punched by the kidnapper:

”It’s not your problem, man. It’s not your problem. Leave me alone with the kid,’ Delgado recalled to KNBC. ‘I said, ‘This is my problem. This is my problem, because why you take this boy?”

Delgado told local news station that his mad dash to save his child was instinctual because he has a 4-year-old daughter:

I’m also a father. There were like 100 people standing here when this happened, he’s the only one that did anything. All those thoughts were going through my head that I didn’t want to think about, like never seeing my son again. The father continued while fighting back tears.

Brendan ran home screaming as Delgado tracked down his brother, the boy soon returned with father Tom O’Brien.
“He ran home and said, “Someone stole Grady” O’Brien told a local news station.

So did he stop to break out his superhero costume before he jumped over the counter or just do it while he was running?

Sometimes when news stories on this site remove my faith in humanity, another story comes along and restores it once again.

Jesus Delgado, you are a wonderful man.
