All You Chic Brooklyn Moms Who Have Served Time Need To Audition For This Reality Show

bmj_logo_sConsidering that a reality show in which parents can “bet” on their babies was greenlit, there’s just no telling what the next “big” reality TV pitch might be. But a look at a recent casting call for Brooklyn women who have been incarcerated can certainly give us a tip. Brooklyn mothers, grab your Bugaboos from your VIP stroller parking and take the tots out early from toddler CrossFit. You need to be in this lineup.

The Brooklyn Paper ad placed for the upcoming “The Bad Mama Jammas of Brooklyn” — complete with glittery handcuffs adorning the title – reads:

I don’t think anyone can beat out Big Ang! If this show is going to be used as a way to shine a positive light on women that may have made mistakes in life and are working toward creating a better life for themselves and their children then I’m for it. I just really hope its not a show depicting Brooklynites as being uneducated, ghetto and so called “welfare queens”.

will not go into details…but I have a strong feeling this is going to be a 2nd rate Bad Girls Club. There will be some girls on there who do have talent and have TRULY changed their ways, and there will be some other ones who are “doing what they have to do” to be on the show and have NOT changed their ways at all. One thing I do *know* for sure…the demographic of women they’ve chosen..is mostly urban. (Disclaimer: I am NOT insinuating they are necessarily uneducated, ghetto or “welfare queens”. You and the public will make that determination yourself). But either they cannot find an earthy type/organic formerly incarcerated hipster mom to cast or that type is not appealing to the producers…either way, this will be interesting…
