Fans Fulfill Bucket List Of Young Cancer Victim And Restore Your Faith In Humanity

1045257_485358111550607_1903334817_nTalia Castellano died this week, after struggling with cancer on and off for six years. Six years is a long time for anyone to struggle with cancer. For Talia, those six years made up approximately half of her life. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was 7-years-old. She was 13 when she succumbed to the disease.

Talia became a YouTube sensation when she began posting make-up tutorials – she had almost 750,000 followers and some of her videos have as many as 8 million views. She lost her hair as a result of the chemotherapy and started experimenting with applying make-up to “boost her self-confidence.”  She was really, really good at it.

‘When I put on my make-up I feel like I can embrace those features that I really like about myself,’ she explained last year.

‘I feel if someone’s looking at me, they’re looking at my makeup, not looking at my bald head. I am just trying to make young girls, young adults, adults, anyone, feel beautiful by using makeup.’

She became known for her beautiful, expertly made-up eyes and her incredible spirit. She was one of those people who just radiated. If you ever had a chance to see her, you would know what I mean. What an amazing little girl.

Talia made a bucket list – a list of all of the things she would like to try to do before she died. Her family posted the list on her Facebook page. It got half a million likes in days, as fans began passing it around. Most of the items on the list were left unfulfilled when she died this week, but her fans all over the world are trying to rectify that. As news of her death spread, fans began to post pictures “crossing off” different items on the list.

Her family made an album called “Talia’s Bucket List” and it is filled with photos of her fans doing the things she couldn’t. There are almost 500 photos so far.

Rest in peace, you amazing little spirit.
