Kate Middleton’s Baby Bump Is Finally Here For Everyone To Scrutinize

pregnant kate middleton bumpAfter some very audible concern-trolling about pregnant Kate Middleton not producing a baby bump for everyone to salivate over, the Duchess is finally bumping it. I know everyone is heaving a sigh of relief because, as a lady in the public eye, her body is totally their business.

Daily Mail reports that Kate and her royal fetus were at The Willows Primary School to boost morale after arsonists reportedly attacked the campus. At six months pregnant, Kate was “greeted by hundreds of excited young children cheering and waving the national flag of England in honour of St George’s Day.” She also gave a speech about addiction struggles, specifically for a new counseling program that she and hubby Prince William have cooked up (along with the Royal Foundation, Comic Relief, Place2Be and Action on Addiction). The new program, entitled M-PACT (Moving Parents And Children Together), aims to provide support for children impacted by their parents’ drugs or alcohol abuse.

But of course, all eyes are on the bump. They’re practically whipping out the measuring tape at this point:

Her blossoming bump was still small but much more visible in the ÂŁ1.065 Sophia Visconti-bloom silk dress by Canadian designer Erdem.

I expect a full on description with bump dimensions come next month.

As a pregnant women I would hate to have people feel like I owe them my bump. My body has turned into something I don’t even recognize. Sure it’s great that you all love the bump but I’m the one that has to see it naked and wonder “were did my real body go?” I’ll share the bump when I’m good and ready.

poor Kate. I took forever to show with the first two kids, and it was maddening. people were always expecting me to ‘look’ pregnant, and for the longest time i justed looked chubby. Baby three though, i was bumping it at like 14 weeks.

Even though there are lots of perks with the royal life, and she looks like she loves her husband very much, it can’t be easy to be constantly in the public eye. It sounds like Diana and Charles handled the publicity with their sons pretty well. Hopefully Kate and William have some ideas on how to keep that balance. Poor kid; I can’t imagine being a little child and having all those expectations right away.

Considering this is her first child, and she seemed to be in good shape before pregnancy, I don’t understand why people are in such a hurry for her to be huge. I always looked two months or so less pregnant than I actually was during my first go around, and it was so frustrating. Even if you aren’t a celebrity, people feel they have the right to judge your body, although you’re already in a position to be sensitive about your appearance. I can’t imagine having people around the world constantly interested in your size. Gotta admire the grace with which she handles it.
