Everyone is buzzing that Josh Duhamel, Fergie‘s husband, may have just revealed the gender of the couple’s first baby. Luckily, I am expertly trained in baby gender slip ups (but you know, not) and this could very well just be a case of the go-to gender pronoun. I’m not really sold.
When chatting with the Associated Press, Josh Duhamel reportedly stuck to a lot of “he’s.” And all that “he” action has the press thinking exactly one thing: boy baby for Fergie! Have a look for yourself:
“You know your kid is going to get — he’s going to fall and bump his head. And he’s going to do all of those things. But that to me is going to be the hardest thing,” explains Duhamel…
In other portions of the interview, however, Josh switched to “child” this and “child” that:
“Now I get to relive my youth through my child and see my child live all that. So everybody’s got a different path,” says Duhamel. “I wouldn’t change anything. We’re completely happy.”
If the family has any desire to clear up this speculation, I say take a page from the Claire Danes book of awesome gender inquiry retorts and craft a big old press release confirming that the baby is human.
