I’m not really one to use words like “journey” when it comes to Kim Kardashian, but it appears that the soon-to-be mother had one — surrounding that whole “I’m having a baby out of wedlock” thing.
Cosmopolitan reports that Kim Kardashian used to give her sister Kourtney Kardashian grief about being unmarried at the time of her children’s births:
“I was like, ‘You’re not married! How could you do this?’ I was really firm and strict. But she was like, ‘Marriage isn’t what I want.’ And later, I realized she had a better family life than I did.”
Surely it must suck to be in a 72-day marriage that blows and there your soon-to-be twice pregnant sister is doing just dandy. Without that “firm and strict” marriage certificate.
But the Kim Kardashian Kanye West Wedding Extravaganza is on the family’s agenda. Kim says that she and Kayne would like to walk down the aisle at some point, but all in good time, people:
“Sometimes you’re just not ready. A person could have it all, and you’re not ready for it all. But this is where I probably always should have been.” She adds that, “[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it… It just feels like this is it for me.”
Marriages* come and go, Kim. But babies are forever.
