Not really sure where all of the speculation came from, but there were always those who doubted that Beyonce’s baby bump was real. Maybe we all just want to believe that celebrities can’t have everything. There’s a sense of satisfaction in knowing there are some things in life you can’t pay for.
Then of course there was “belly-gate.” Remember when Beyonce sat down for her interview on an Australian news show and her belly appeared to buckle? Well, I can tell you that I sat down in front of a mirror in a changing room last week and my belly did the same thing. I pointed and said, Oh my God! I have ‘Beyonce-belly! I’m five and a half months pregnant. So yeah, before your belly really “pops,” it can happen.
I don’t usually defend Beyonce – this trailer really must be doing a number on me. I will definitely be watching the documentary. I, like the rest of a America, have a fascination with footage that shows superstars in a more realistic light.
Footage from the trailer shows Beyonce talking about the moment she knew she was pregnant, ”I just had a feeling that something was going on. Really. This is crazy.” I think a lot of us pregnant women can relate to that statement. She talks about initially hiding the bump: “They keep putting me in these tight clothes and trying to hide it. It’s very difficult. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this.”
So whatever we feel about Beyonce, I think we can finally put the surrogacy speculation to rest. Now we have the bare belly shots and ultrasounds to prove it.
