EL James Just Put A Stop To All That ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Porn You’ve Been Enjoying

Fifty Shades of Grey and “mommy porn” extraordinaire E.L. James just put a serious damper on what could have possibly been pleasuring mothers everywhere. The famed authoress, as well as Universal Studios who is adapting the Fifty Shades trilogy into a film, slapped an adult film company with a copyright infringement lawsuit. So load up on all that Fifty Shades knock-off bondage play while you can.

Gossip Cop reports that Smash Pictures produced Fifty Shades of Grey: a XXX Adaptation, which according to the suit, copies “exact dialogue, characters, events, story, and style from the Fifty Shades trilogy.” And co-plaintiff, James, calls it like she and Universal Studios sees it:

“The first XXX adaptation is not a parody, and it does not comment on, criticize, or ridicule the originals. It is a rip-off, plain and simple,” reads the complaint.

Universal Studios reportedly adds that Smash is working on two more films which also rip the Fifty Shades story line. In addition to those productions, the adult film company is looking to shill a “play kit” of sex toys under the name “Fifty Shades of Pleasure.” Considering that “Fifty Shades Of Grey” churns out about 1,830,000 global monthly Internet searches, according to Google, attaching that phrase to any product is bound to get at least a few more eyeballs. Tap into the mommy market anyway you can, I guess.

But even if you are already Googling around about where to get that “play kit” of sex toys, James and Universal Studios are looking to get a slice of those profits — as well as monetary damages and an injunction against further sales by Smash. Which means if there is going to be a pleasure chest of Fifty Shades toys, you best believe Universal Studios and E.L .James would like to be the ones selling them to you.

Oh, E.L. I do hope you’re sending those royalties to Stephenie Meyer.

This is just me but for some reason, the spelling of Stephenie’s name always bothers me. Is that weird?
