Kristen Stewart’s PR Stunt Tryst Now Includes On-Screen Mother Jodie Foster Consoling Her

So in the next scripted scene in the massive PR stunt that is Kristen Stewart‘s infidelity, the actress is apparently seeking solace in the arms of her on-screen mother. Cue Jodie Foster holding her cinema daughter close.

Radar Online reports that when the Internet nearly shutdown following news that Kristen had canoodled or cheated, Jodie sought out the 22-year-old. The two were on-screen mommy and daughter in the 2002 film Panic Room, and reportedly Kristen has looked up to her co-star as “a mother-like figure” ever since. Jodie has reportedly also offered the young woman free reign to cry as many vampire tears of sadness as she needs to:

“Jodie told Kristen to take no notice of the media bashing and said if she wanted to cry her heart out to her she’s always available.”

This isn’t to say that young co-stars can’t develop meaningful, “mother-like figure” bonds with their on-screen mommies. But, seriously, how many bit parts and scripts and PR statements does this KStew/Robert Pattinson fabricated drama include? Next we’ll have staged photo ops of Foster — or more likely someone else in dire need of publicity — taking the young actress out for consolatory mani/pedis. You know, like all on-screen mommies do?
