Jessica Alba is the newest celebrity mother to glow on beaches towards the end of pregnancy and be snapped grabbing lattes with her toddler, so much so that she appears to be making more of a career as a fashionable mom than as a legitimate actress. But as the mother of two continues to make a name for herself as the hottest celebrity mommy, Jessica also admits to being extremely overwhelmed by motherhood — and at times, thinking that she would “crack.”
Jessica, mother to now 3-year old Honor, welcomed her second daughter Haven in August of this year. She tells InStyle Australia that this time around, she isn’t sweating the small stuff:
“I’m more relaxed, every sneeze or runny nose or little bump on the head that would have freaked me out before…I am more easygoing with that sort of thing. And the sense of knowing that I can get Haven to stop crying. It was all new with Honor and I wasn’t confident, and she could feel that so she continued to cry. That didn’t happen a lot, but when it happened I felt like I would crack.”
Wife to director Cash Warren also bemoans her “struggle with gaining weight,” prompting the question of the obligatory nude photo shoot that most post-pregnant ladies in the public eye sign up for to prove how unchanged their figures are from childbearing. Jessica also openly admits to having a nanny, but we most likely assumed that about her already.
